Altarpieces

The baroque altarpieces date from the 18th-century artistic movement that left its mark on many a church. The parishes called upon whole dynasties of carpenters and sculptors to produce these true works of art that create magnificently rich decors, full of colour and gilding. Many of them are now listed Historic Monuments.
