The Church of Saint John the Baptist of Lannemezan was built at the end of the 12th century. In 1569, it was burned by the Huguenot troops of Montgomery who devastated the village, work was undertaken to restore it after the damage caused by the Revolution. In 1851 the bell tower was demolished and rebuilt, and in 1854 the south gate was moved to enlarge the nave.
The altarpiece and the tabernacle of the high altar dating from the early eighteenth century are classified as objects of historical monuments. The portal dating from the XII century is listed in the inventory of historical monuments since October 24, 1945.
